About btNOG
Bhutan Network Operators Group (btNOG) is an informal group set up to provide an educational and operational forum for Internet network operators and interested professionals/engineers related to the Internet’s technologies and operational practices to discuss matters of mutual interest, exchange technical information and learning, and discuss specific implementation issues, usually through a combination of mailing list and
annual meetings.
btNOG is open to all ISPs and Internet-related organizations in Bhutan and also from around the world. As such it has no owners, just a small group of dedicated individuals who look after the mailing list and organise the regular meetings.
The main objective is educational, but at the same time gives vendors and tech enthusiast a chance to talk about newer technology and products on the sidelines. ICT Community get to talk to each other about experiences, benefiting the entire community.
The programme is designed to provide funding assistance to selected Bhutanese applicants to attend btNOG6.
The purpose of the btNOG Fellowship Programme is to give opportunities to people working in the ICT Community to participate in the Country’s premier Internet Operations and Technology summit. The human networking is an extremely important component for growing the Internet across the region, with the btNOG Fellows gaining valuable opportunities to meet Internet network professionals. This is in addition to the technologies and skills learnt or enhanced during the btNOG Workshops and the Conference itself.
The award is open to anyone who meets the criteria described below.
btNOG has an open call for applicants through the website and announcement email lists. The Fellowship Committee will conduct ongoing evaluations of the applicants and make their selections based on certain criteria including applicant experience and applicant’s desire to continue to participate in btNOG.
The Fellowship Award which is granted to successful applicants (Fellows) covers the workshop & conference registration fee and accommodation, and provides a contribution towards the cost of the travel and living expenses associated with attending btNOG.

8th May Completion of Reviews
9th May Inviting Successful Applicants to accept the award
